About Actual Signs - New factsheet
05 December 2006
Many people have enquired about what Actual Signs actually does? Even though there is plenty of information available on this website, we have produced a factsheet which gives clear aims and objectives of what we do.
Please click on the button below to download a PDF version of the factsheet.

However our services focus on two areas:
General development of BSL skills
If you have an interest in learning BSL or wish to develop your existing BSL skills further we provide qualification courses from Levels 1 through to 4. In this instance we do not specialise in any one particular area and you are able to transfer your newly-acquired skills to meet your needs whether in the work place or for communicating more effectively with your Deaf friends or colleagues.

BSL skills for the Media and the Performing Arts
Our courses for the Performing Arts and Media allow people wishing to gain employment in these areas to develop their skills to an appropriate level. This does not mean that deaf people can’t be involved - there is a growing number of deaf/relay interpreters and deaf people involved with in-vision work in the media.
In each of our services, BSL is the driving force. It doesn’t matter whether you are deaf or hearing; as long as you have a passion for the language! |
