Confirmation in BSL

How do native BSL users ask for confirmation of information or individual signs used in conversation and how do they express confirmation when asked?

Can you do this comfortably and identify when the balance of power shifts?

Should you match the sign used by the other party in the conversation if you use an alternative BSL sign?

This workshop will teach you:

• When is it approprate to give and receive confirmation?
• How is it appropriate to confirm and ask for confirmation of signs used in conversation?
• What factors affect this i.e. setting, parties invovled?
